Costa Brava

The Costa Brava…. a unique part of Spain.

Like two lovers embrace the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean together in this unique place, known as the Costa Brava in Catalonia, in northeastern Spain.

Here arose the characteristic bays along the coastline, with small beaches enclosed by forests, steep rocky slopes and caressed by clear blue and foaming sea. Further inland the landscapes provide the exceptional attraction of the Costa Brava.

Museums, relics of a thousand cultures, medieval structures and constructions, Romanesque legacy, all kinds of sports activities on the flat land and in the mountains and sea, surprising cultural and festive events in every city, special and unique villages, creative gastronomy…. are just a few reasons to invite you to discover this small country.

Coastal towns abound, but many authentic villages…

Along the coastline of the Costa Brava are many places with beautiful large and small beaches. More inland you will find plenty of authentic villages and towns.

BONVIDA rents holiday villas in the north of the Costa Brava, called the Alt Emporda, and this is the most quiet area. In the summer months it is crowded here, but nothing compared to the southern part.. In the “Alt Emporda” are many beautiful former fishing villages with smaller beaches that lie hidden among the rocks.

Furthermore, this area is characterized by its beautiful nature and ancient culture. Cities like Figueres and Girona have much to offer and are within easy reach. The cosmopolitan city of Barcelona is from this part of the Costa Brava also easily reached.
